The ‘From tree to forest route’ takes you through Terschelling's most varied forest. Along the 4.5-kilometre route, you will find stories about trees, woods and forest management as well as fun assignments for children via QR code signs.
The Wadden island of Vlieland is nationally known for its birdlife. On the Vinkenbaan in Kroon's polders, birds are caught and ringed from mid-August to mid-November. It is possible to visit this ringing alley during the catching season.

On Texel, you can walk and cycle for days without using the same path twice! You will encounter the most beautiful landscapes and viewpoints. Texel has no less than 250 kilometres of hiking trails and 140 kilometres of cycle paths.
Along the gnome trail, little ones discover nature and take a nice walk through the forest. A true adventure! And the assignment booklet contains fun activities that can be carried out while walking.
What might have washed up today? The strangest things have already been found on the Schiermonnikog beach, such as mammoth bones and medieval jars. Who knows what there is to dig up today!

Texel is the largest Wadden Sea island and has no fewer than 40 nature reserves. In autumn, the Bleekersvallei is highly recommended. The area consists of dunes, heathland and lies on the edge of the forest.
During autumn, the colours of the Kroons Polders on Wadden Island Vlieland will leave you amazed! Indeed, this true bird area turns red, purple, orange and green in autumn!
The Noordsvaarder used to be a loose sandbar and is now one of the most varied nature reserves on Terschelling! Valleys, dunes, sandbanks and especially lots of birds make the area worth a visit!
Wadden Island Schiermonnikoog is one big National Park. Many different types of landscapes can be found on the island, making it home to many types of plants and animals.
